Anne Lockhart is an American actor. Her birth name is Anne Kathleen Maloney on September 6, 1953. She is well-known for her role as the role of Lieutenant Sheba in the period 1978-1979 of the TV series Battlestar Galactica. She is a daughter of the actress June Lockhart. Her grandfather was actor Gene Lockhart. Lockhart started her acting career at a young age. When she was four, her first film role came in T is for Tumbleweed. The short film about a subject was nominated for an academy award. She spent time with her mother around the film set, where she learned about the workings of the industry. Lockhart was featured in a variety of episodes of Lassie. Dora in Jory, 1972 was her first film. At age 18 she played one of the daughters Joan Crawford in 1972 television series The Sixth Sense. Joan made her last appearance on the show. It is a popular belief that Anne rejected the role as Laurie Strode for John Carpenter's Halloween in 1978. Jaime Lee Curtis was given the part. Carpenter claims that Anne rejected his proposal to play Laurie Strode. Anne can't recall John Carpenter having contacted her and offering the position. There is a chance that one of Anne's agents rejected it because of her, but she didn't tell her. Glen Larson chose her initially and gave her a preliminary written script. She was to appear in the television series Battlestar Galactica, which aired from 1978. The character was not strong enough to convince her to take on the part. Glen wrote an entirely brand new character, Sheba that was more strong. She accepted the Living Legend's script after having read the first 25 pages. It ran for a single season.
